Molly Mercer currently teaches financial accounting to undergraduate and graduate students. Prior to joining DePaul in 2009, Mercer served as a faculty member at Emory University and Arizona State University. Mercer has received several awards for teaching excellence, including the QIC Excellence in Teaching Award at DePaul.
Mercer is also an award-winning scholar whose research has been published in academic publications, including The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting & Economics, Contemporary Accounting Research, Accounting Horizons, and Management Science and Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory. Her research explores psychological influences on the behaviors of various parties in the financial reporting process.
